MEET KATIE

Katie is the co-founder of Rise Through Love — a women's lifestyle brand rooted in the belief that how we dress, gather, and show up for ourselves matters, especially when life is hard.
When Katie lost her son Mateo, she found herself wrapped in what she came to call the grief sweater — that invisible weight that sits on your body when you're moving through the unimaginable. In the depths of that loss, something quiet and
persistent surfaced: a longing to still feel beautiful. Not despite the pain, but within it.
That longing became a question. And that question became Rise Through Love.
Katie is a Manifesting Generator — someone who moves through the world by responding, by following what lights her up, and by trusting that the right things arrive at the right time. She doesn't build in straight lines. She builds from the heart. RTL is the living proof of that — a brand that exists not because it was planned into existence, but because it was felt into one.
Her vision is simple and radical at once: that women deserve to feel held, seen, and beautiful during the hardest chapters of their lives. Through elevated loungewear, intentional gatherings, and a community built on real human connection, she is
creating the space she once needed herself. Intention creates transformation.
MEET JULIA
Where Style, People & Purpose Meet
Jules is the co-founder of Rise Through Love, leading product design, fabric sourcing, and manufacturing — the hands-on work of turning the brand's beliefs into something a woman can actually wear.
That work traces back further than RTL. Jules grew up on Canada's West Coast in a family that lived close to sustainability long before it had a name, and that instinct followed her everywhere next — ten years in Melbourne, first in design school and then inside the industry itself, followed by years in Vietnam building a company of her own: stores offering both ready-to-wear and made-to-measure pieces, backed by a production house she owned outright, so the people making the clothes were fully supported, not just contracted out.
What she saw in those years — the good manufacturing can do, and the harm it can cause when speed and cost come first — became the question underneath everything she designs now.
Jules moves through her work led by feel as much as by plan. A design isn't finished until it can be touched, adjusted, made someone's own. A maker isn't paid fairly until they can actually live well from the work, not just get by on it. She believes in energy and balance — the kind she sees in her kids' eyes, in the wind and the forests and the oceans, always finding their way back to center — and she considers love the purest form of that balance.
Her vision is straightforward and hard-won at once: that clothing can be made honestly, close to home, without asking anyone — maker or wearer — to be an afterthought. Through RTL, and through Needle Woman, where textiles are reimagined, to live again as something new, she is proving that belief one piece at a time.
